After looking for months for a purse that wasn't ridiculously heavy, or priced outrageously, which is hard to find these days, I decided to make my own.  I have been a quilter for 10 years, and had been making quilted purses for 7 of the 10 years. I figured, "why not have exactly what I want." 
 
After many months of trial and error, I came up with my final design. It weighs very little when it is empty, and since it does not look like a typical gun purse, it is not obvious what it really is. 

I have carried my purse for over 2 years, and it's holding up great.  It's not showing wear like the leather ones do, and I get many compliments on its design, without anyone knowing what is hidden inside. I didn't design the purse so that the gun can be pulled out, it is designed to shoot straight through in case of an emergency.

Because of the placement of the hidden pocket, the normal "junk" we women carry should not have any interference at all. If the situation arises that you do have to use your gun, please do not take the time to try and get it out. 

Please Note: If you do have to use your gun with the purse, contact me and provide a police report showing it was self defense and I will gladly replace it at NO COST.  I hope no one ever has to take me up on that, but if they do, I will be happy knowing I helped save a life.
